HEADS UP: Google’s apparent transition to “mobile first index” has been commonly interpreted to mean Google favors sites rendering properly on mobile devices. It appears that a Google search update has occurred providing searchers with a breadcrumb SERP, more evidence we think that Google is and will continue rolling out new ways to display search results designed for mobile devices.

Be on the lookout for new ways to rank for informational queries with mobile search, and to appear in Google’s new breadcrumb search results for users on desktop devices. Adding logos and images for the subject entity (person, place or thing) on informational web pages may be more important with this yet-to-be-confirmed Google search update that seems to be a total rethinking about how search results are displayed.
